National Strategic Business Development Manager – Asset Finance – location flexible
Our client a highly respected asset financier whose focus encompasses customers ranging from SME’s to large corporates and whose asset class focus is equally diverse are seeking to hire a business development manager to work closely with its business units.
This position is one of you developing strategically initiatives that may already be operating locally in addition to you personally contributing your own ideas.
You will be expected to evaluate initiatives establish the risk reward basis of each. You will then take each project through risk and compliance and our clients executive board to gain approval .You will also assess the wider opportunities for each successful project to add further value across our clients group.
You can expect to work with a wide range of internal stakeholders ranging from senior sales staff , sales leaders & regional GM’s to head office, credit, operations, legal, IT and systems staff to board level.
In the search for new ideas to differentiate our client you can expect to attend exhibitions, conferences & present our client at seminars & user group meetings and to build up a comprehensive knowledge of what our clients competitors are offering now or expecting to bring to market.
This is a high profile role with excellent career and earning progression available for an ambitious high achiever.
This is a national role so our clients are flexible regarding your location but you must be willing to travel extensively across the UK and occasionally internationally. You will be contractually home based but will be expected to visit & work tactically from any of our clients office as needed.
We are seeking applications from those with deep & wide knowledge of the asset finance sector ideally with experience ranging from SME to corporate customers and with greater emphasis on hard assets.
If you have knowledge & experience of a variety of routes to market, direct, broker, dealer this would be useful but it is not a prerequisite to have all three.
You will need gravitas & presence and the ability to understand & work with a diverse group of business gaining trust & building a rapport quickly to build engagement.
You will possess the ability to work at all levels & across many different functions being able to clearly articulate, present and make a business case.
You must also be pragmatist able to establish what is practical & viable and what may not be and be able to prioritise your focus onto where your time is best deployed for the greatest strategic benefit.
Preferred salary range to £90,000.
Plus 20% of base salary bonus plus company car & all large company benefits.
