Business Development Manager – Middle Ticket Asset Finance – Thames Valley area
Our client a highly successful asset financier are expanding their national sales team and are seeking a new business hunter on the following sales area :
- Thames Valley
Our client can finance any asset and have the ability to fund a very wide range of credits. Average deal size in 2017 was £75,000 but deals have been closed to £6.5m in the last year.
They offer a wide range of finance products including , Finance Lease, Hire Purchase, Refinance, Operating Lease , Sale and Lease back plus access to Commercial Mortgage funding , Loans and Invoice Finance solutions.
Typically 90% of their business today is Hire Purchase and 90% of business is sourced direct from customer allowing them to have built long term strategic partnerships.
Your role will be to take control of your sales area and identify and target customers who need access to the wide range of funding solutions our client can offer.
You can leverage business via dealers or professional introducers as you wish but our client prides itself on having direct contact with its customers to provide the best possible service.
Excellent totally uncapped earnings are provided with a superb uncapped commission plan.
Realistic targets and timescales are set that will reflect the new business nature of the role.
We are happy to discuss in detail first year targets, the typical volumes established team members are writing annually and typical margins over cost of funds being achieved by the national sales team with qualified applicants only.
We are seeking experienced asset finance business developers who have a demonstrable record of success in winning new asset finance business and a stable employment background who live on the sales area outlined above.
Those with a network of customer contacts that can be re-leveraged in a new environment are of particular interest, but this is not a pre-requisite to apply.
You may be a generalist or have a niche asset speciality our clients are flexible on your asset class experience , what matters most are your new business development skills , your ability to work autonomously and to provide a high quality responsive service to your customers and to operate to the highest standards of integrity whilst achieving realistic targets.
Crucially you must be someone has a genuine desire and preferably a demonstrable need for very high earnings.
Typical earnings in our clients national sales team range from £130,000 to £160,000 per annum but some are earning very considerably more.
You may today be working for tier one bank asset financier with a very large target and a discretionary year end paid bonus that rarely reflects the substantial contribution you are making.
You may be working for a lease broker with a low salary or perhaps no salary and with a limited range of funders and perhaps not always feel that you are being given the true cost of funds that you employer give you to work off.
You may be a successful lease broker with a wide range of long standing customers but want to spend more time selling and less time on issues like FCA compliancy and GDPR.
Whatever your precise background you will need to be able to be able to demonstrate that you are a true new business hunter who has a broad knowledge of asset finance and a real desire to succeed.

Preferred salary range up to £60,000 , exceptionally more may be available
Plus £5000+ car allowance plus excellent commission plan paying 25% of gross profit generated.
Commission is quarterly paid and with totally uncapped earning potential.
