Our client a leading financier are seeking to hire a Sales Director to lead the national sales team of one of their highly successful business units

The team to lead are highly experienced professionals and you will be inheriting a stable sales team and leading an already highly successful business unit.

The role is not so much about managing the team day to day as they are all highly experienced, so much as providing the team with a role model espousing the vision and values of the business and taking the existing performance to the next level.

You will help drive business from a number of sources, direct, introducers both suppliers ( dealers ) & brokers maximising every opportunity to increase volumes , maximise margins and build on existing alliances whilst identifying , targeting & winning new ones. You will attend networking events, exhibitions & lead corporate hospitality in the quest to build on existing success.

You will establish embed the strategic direction of the business into the team and implement personal & professional development plans for each team member promoting a culture in which risks are identified , assessed & management in a timely , open transparent and objective manner.

As a member of the senior management team you will also be expected to actively contribute ideas and encourage your team to do so liaising with and working closely with sales support, operations, credit, collection etc.

Candidate Profile 

We are seeking an experienced sales leader with deep business to business finance sector knowledge ambitious to move up to the next level or possibly an existing Sales Director seeking a fresh challenge.

You should have a stable record of employment in the finance & leasing sector & must be able to demonstrate success.

Your experience to should include having worked in large and complex companies. If you have worked for regulated employer such as a bank funder this would be an advantage but it is not a pre-requisite.

Knowledge of both direct & indirect routes to market perhaps of sales aid , flow small / medium ticket business are the ideal background but we are willing to consider applications from those whose leadership experience has been gained one or other.

We are relaxed about your location but you must recognise that extensive travel nationally is feature of this role and therefore there will be occasional nights away plus a small number of days a month spent at our clients head office are a requirement of the role.
