UK and Ireland Sales Director – High Technology Assets – UK South location preferred
Our client are seeking to hire a UK and Ireland Sales Director to lead a large sales team focussed on the financing of high technology assets driving business from a wide range of sources.
You will also have some general management responsibilities in conjunction with the CFO but will be primarily be responsible for taking an already performing sales team to the next level.
Your role will be to deliver realistic volume and margin targets that are already set for fiscal 18 , 19 and 20 growing volumes from existing customers and leading your management and sales teams to identify new income streams. We will be happy to share targets with appropriately skilled applicants.
We are seeking an experienced sales leader who has a real breadth and depth of strategic sales management selling best practice experience, we anticipate this will most probably have been gained with a major national or international lessor.
We are most interested in applications from those who have experience of leading complex long lead time solution sales and with demonstrable experience of negotiating at C level with mid and large corporates and ideally also the public sector.
Knowledge of managed services solutions is particularly desired as is that of leading sales teams selling valued added solutions rather than only lowest rate wins money over money into the middle ticket market place. Our clients have closed individual transactions to > £50m and a number of deals to > £5m have been closed this year across various territories.
If we already know you and we think you are possible fit and also that you may be interested it is very likely that we will have already approached you, however we are open minded to applications from those that meet the above requirements whether known to us already or new to working with us.
As above we are most interested in applications from those who have lead sales teams with direct contact with the customer and also those with solid middle ticket plus experience.
We are not seeking applications from those with exclusively a vendor only background and with no real direct experience or from those whose sales leadership experience is made up of small ticket sales aid.
Those whose leadership experience is direct driven but hard asset based and money over money gained will be actively considered if we feel you can make the transition but are not the preferred experience profile.
Whatever your exact background you will need, gravitas, presence and credibility to gain the rapid respect and support of the sales managers and sales teams you will lead but also of senior colleagues nationally and internationally , plus of course our clients existing customers and new customers.
